As a Gay American, I applaude the concept of inclusion. It's time to have dialogue. I disagree with Rick Warren on all issues, but dialogue and growth are not possible if we don't talk to each other. While Obama does not approve of same sex marriage, he is for equal rights. If we don't speak to the enemy, how do we create even the possibility for change.
We all deserve equal rights, as we all pay taxes, we all live and die. I do want the same rights as my parents had, but I do not care about marriage. What really matters is everyday life. I want equal rights and let me take care of my personal business of getting married or not.
If you are Gay or straight, what really matters is equality and what is in your heart! Our Gay leaders need to begin dialogue in order for change to begin. Not easy to sit down with a bigot, but why not try!
For President-elect Obama, it is hard to be perfect and please everyone, let's give this guy a chance.
